if your 360 has HDMI, use HDMI, if not, go with component. Your 360 should come with the appropriate cables.

you can use a Hdmi lead, but then you need another lead for sound.
I have a Samsung and xbox 360, i use the cable my xbox came with, it has one plug to go into xbox, then 5 or 6 on the other end, yellow, red, blue colours etc.
your tv will then go into ‘game mode’ its great

If you bought a Premium model you should use the cables it comes with and connect into the component sockets on your TV. Make sure the switch on the cables is set to HDTV and not SDTV.
If you have an Elite console (black) then use the HDMI cable that it comes with, this will also take care of the sound since HDMI handles digital video and sound, contrary to what other people have been saying.

HDMI is the best, but the HD AV cables that come with the console will work too.
