How do I connect pair of Bose 161 speakers to my Samsung HDTV, I’ve tried the audio out’s on TV but no sound.


I have a satellite TV HD-DVR. Should I connect with that.

    Bottom line is you can’t connect the speakers directly to your tv or your dish receiver. Both these devices provide what is called line out – no volume control.

    You will need a receiver that takes the line out (either from dish or tv) and connect your speakers to that.
