Why does my Panasonic TV keep showing waves on the screen?

My Panasonic TV is a tube-panel TV. I connected my DirecTV box again today. I hear and see on TV fine. However, there are waves that rise and fall of television that is most troublesome in the world makes me more than watching TV is a piece of shit than it already is. How do I solve this problem?

If you didn’t have a dish box or cable box before, or if it was in a different location, it might be getting RF interference from somewhere. I had that happen when I rearrainged for my HDTV: the A/V switch box I used to hook up all my video game systems wasn’t shielded enough to handle sitting directly on top of the subwoofer, and a pair of ripples kept scrolling up the screen.
